Service Description
In this one-stop-shop for effective public speaking, you’ll learn tips and tricks for managing performance anxiety, cultivating your energy for connecting with others, utilizing optimal breathing, handling a written speech, and being heard across a room. Led by voice, accent, and communication coach Sarah Nichols, in six classes you will feel more confident and prepared to command a room with your voice and presence. About Sarah Nichols: Sarah Nichols is a voice, accent, and communication coach and performer from Orlando, Florida and a second generation Cuban American. Since receiving a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2014, she has performed on tour with TheatreworksUSA and on Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. In 2020, Sarah completed an MFA in Voice Studies at The Royal Central School of Speech in Drama in London. She has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University, East 15 Acting School, Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, and the American University in Cairo. Now based in Washington, DC, Sarah works regularly as a singer and voiceover actor, and holds private and group classes for actors and executives in vocal production, accent modification, and public speaking skills. She has led workshops at Washington Improv Theater, GALA Hispanic Theatre, the Actors' Center, Signature Theatre, and the Little Theatre of Alexandria. 6 x Sundays: 5:00-6:30pm 6/11, 6/25, 7/9, 7/23, 8/6, and 8/20 at The BIG Theater Facilitator: Sarah Nichols Cost: $ 250
