Style Guidelines

The BIG Theater: The proper noun for our theater name always includes a capital “The” and theater spelled with the “-er” suffix. We don’t spell out BIG in this context. (ie if you wanted to spell out our name, we would say “the Baltimore Improv Group theater” with lowercase T’s.) BIG is all caps and without periods. (Not “B.I.G.”)
Baltimore Improv Group (BIG): We write out the full name in the first mention along with our nickname in parenthesis. This helps for those who are not familiar with us.  After that, the two names may be used interchangeably. You may want to mention both names when writing about us for clarity
