“It will change your life!” That’s what we hear most often about taking improv classes. You’ll work with the best improvisers in Baltimore. You'll learn to create original, honest, and funny scenes & ideas through games, exercises and performances.
For the true improv nerds, BIG's 4-class modules and intensives offer the opportunity to drill down on specific improv techniques and performance formats. These classes typically include prerequisites and are tailored for improvisers who have already taken several full-length classes and/or have performance experience. Modules and intensives are always being revamped and newly-conceived to cater to areas of interest.

Improv Fun!
Learn the basics of improv comedy (from home!) while building confidence, improving public speaking, and having a blast with new friends!
Participants will explore the fundamental principles of improvisation through exercises in agreement, commitment, spontaneity, and listening. No prior performance or improv experience are necessary. Classes build upon one another, allowing novice improvisers to grow and be challenged at a comfortable rate.

Learn MORE! basics of improv comedy (from home!) while building confidence, improving public speaking, and having a blast with new friends!
For participants who participated in our first online course, Improv Fun! or for improvisers with a bit more experience, keep the good times rolling with: (MORE!) IMPROV FUN! Like its predecessor, this class prioritizes fun and connection but with the novelty of new games and exercises to keep things interesting! Participants in (MORE!) Improv Fun! can expect a grab bag of short form and long form improv approaches, all catered to the digital format. No experience is necessary, but priority registration is given to participants who have previously taken the Improv Fun! class.
