Plan B is the longest running troupe in BIG’s comedy arsenal. Expect short form (Whose Line is it Anyway?-style) games with high energy, big characters, and major laughs!
Rob Davis has been a member of BIG’s Plan B since July 2012. He got his start with BIG after taking the Introduction to Improv workshop in 2005 and continued through the Advanced class. After which, he became a founding member of the independent troupe Potluck. Outside the world of improv, Rob is currently pursuing his degree in Computer Science and working for a software company catering to the health care industry.
Amy Sens, a member of the BIG project Tigerhead, started with BIG as a faithful audience member and significant other when things got started in 2004, taking on a variety of volunteer roles. In 2008 Amy joined the BIG Conservatory for some trainin’. After that, she was a member and then director of The Moving Walkways until 2010. In her off time, she’s a pastor at a new church called six:eight (www.sixeightucc.org), wife to Heather, and mom to Anne.
Born and raised in Baltimore County, Kevin’s addiction to improv started after he enrolled in BIG University and continues to this day. An educator who has taught grades 6-12 in private, public and parochial schools, Kevin enjoys being collaborative with and supportive of other human beings. He loves Ocean City and Old Bay and is a HUGE fan of the O’s, Ravens and Terps. Ask Kevin what his two favorite words are and he’ll say, “Baltimore, Maryland”. Even if you don’t ask him, he’ll probably tell you.
Jason is in Plan B.
Gillian Parent started her improv journey in the Summer of 2013 when she took an intro workshop during the Baltimore Improv Festival. Fearing that her quality of life would suffer if she were to stop there, she signed up for BIG’s 101 class. It was a good call. A couple of years later, she still can’t believe she’s performing with the organization that introduced her to the life-changing “Yes, And.” In her non-improv time, Gillian likes to hang out with cats, do jigsaw puzzles, and eat candy.
Option B: The probability that Frankie is a bear that lives a human life by dressing in flannel and making person noises is extremely high. Beard and grilled meat enthusiast. Plan B participant.
Option C: Previous options are valid. Frankie also performs with flannel-clad Flannel Club, monoscene troupe Local Spot, and freeform, free-for-all, free fish tacos After School Grandma.
Julia Hall began taking classes with the Baltimore Improv Group in the summer of 2011 and has been pestering her friends to come to her improv shows ever since. Julia is thrilled to be a member of BIG main stage troupe Plan B. Outside of BIG she performs regularly with local troupes Trampus and Charmsical and is one-half of duos Annie Hall and JuDo. She has performed improv in the Baltimore Improv Festival, The Charm City Comedy Festival, the Comedy Pigs’ Comedy Extravaganza, and this one time inside the Baltimore Shot Tower.
