Saturday show in Frederick

Our cohort Jim "Jiggy" McGarvey (formerly in the BIG troupe "Gus" and still in BIG's festival-only troupe "Mr. Licorice") is a full-time member of the Comedy Pigs improv troupe out in Frederick at the Maryland Ensemble Theater (MET).Jim is wacky. This is him back in his Gus days.

Jim is wacky, as you can see in the photographic evidence to the right. He's also always making up new ground-breaking troupes, including a troupe taking the stage tonight and tomorrow (January 8 and 9) out at the MET: Waiting to Be Called Over. The troupe's made of up folks who are/were in the Washington Improv Theater, the Comedy Pigs, the Screaming Puppets, and the Baltimore Improv Group. Not bad, eh?

You should go see them if you get a chance - especially if that chance is tomorrow night, January 9th at 8pm. That's because BIG troupe Gus will be performing at the show as well - and so will famed Baltimore actor and improviser Bruce Nelson in his troupe The Bruce and Joe Show.

Basically what I'm saying is that tomorrow night's show is going to be so awesome, it'll rip a hole in the fabric of space and time. In a good way. Get your tickets to this universe-farting-up show right now by clicking here!

Want to learn more? Jim's been doing a bang-up job of publicity for the shows tonight and tomorrow. Take a look here (cover story!), here and here.
