FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
When is my payment due?
At the first class. We take cash or check, or you can pay online via MissionTix. Checks should be made out to Baltimore Improv Group.

Do we need to purchase anything for the course?
Nope, just bring yourself. What can't hurt is reading some of the books we recommend on our Thanks & Links page. Our favorites are Truth In Comedy and Improvise!.

What should I wear for the class?
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in. Same goes for the shoes.

What if I have to miss a class?

We strongly encourage students to not miss any classes because the course is comprehensive from week to week and also because a strong and consistent group dynamic is essential to good improvisation. But scheduling conflicts can happen, we understand that.

If you are only going to miss one class out of the six-class course, do not fret. We usually schedule one make-up class at the end of each course. This will be aimed at those folks who missed one class. It won't be on a specific topic, but rather will be comprehensive depending on which classes the attendees missed. So, try not to miss any classes.

If you have to miss more than one class, we recommend you hold off signing up for the course. If a legitimate emergency arises (medical issues, death in the family, etc.) and a student must drop out of the course or miss more than one class, a full refund will be given.

Do you offer any type of discounts for other theater members or for those of us who would like to work at a show in exchange for a discount?
Not at this time.

I have an infrequently-asked question...what should I do?
Please don't hesitate to e-mail us.
