Board

  • Dr. Patrick Byrne, President
    • Patrick has been on the board for one year and works for Baltimore County Schools and is an adjunct professor at Towson University. He has taken classes through BIG University and performed with an independent improv troupe at BIG’s Sunday Night Performances. Patrick’s 13 year old son Kevin has taken several workshops for teens and participated in BIG’s week long Summer Camp for Kids. Contact at bewpatrick@gmail.com.
  • Eli Kemmerer, Treasurer
    • Eli Kemmerer is a Director at KPMG within their M&A financial due diligence group. Eli is married to long time BIG performer Christina Kemmerer, member of GUS, and father to future BIG performer, Ella (2 yrs old).  Eli has been a board member and the Treasurer since September 2012.
  • Katie Long, Board Member, BIG Performer
    • Katie became a performer with BIG in 2013 after taking several classes with BIG University.  She is a member of main stage troupe Training For Prom, musical troupe Impromptune, and the duo Trivial Pursuits. She joined the BIG board in 2014. Katie is the Program Director and Hispanic Liaison for the Friends of Patterson Park and also sits on Baltimore City’s Hispanic Commission.
  • Jessica Henkin, Board Member, BIG Performer
    • Jessica Henkin has been a performer with BIG since 2005.  She is a member of main stage troupe Lekker, a former member of Gus and Plan B, and has performed in several seasons of Unscripted.  She took classes and performed with the Upright Citizens Brigade from 2000-2003.  She co-founded The Stoop Storytelling Series in 2006.  When she’s not performing or producing Stoop events, she is the Coordinator for Baltimore City Public School’s Office of Early Learning Program. She’s passionate about her family, autism education, Baltimore City, keeping her house clean, and finding humor in everything she can.
